1、 Product Overview:

The physical long-term drag reducer is the latest high-tech product developed by our company for grounding. This product contains stable conductive materials, chemical electrolytes, metal passivation rust inhibitors, and water retention agents, and has good conductivity, corrosion resistance, and long-term effectiveness. It is the preferred product for achieving drag reduction in grounding engineering.

The main ingredient of the product is good non-metallic conductive material graphite, and various additives are added. Applying a resistance reducing agent between the metal grounding body and the soil, and tightly surrounding the metal grounding body, can on the one hand make close contact with the metal grounding body and the soil, expand the dissipation area, and reduce the contact resistance between the metal grounding body and the soil; On the other hand, by infiltrating into the surrounding soil and rock crevices, a tree root network is formed, creating a low resistance area with a gentle change in resistivity around the grounding electrode, reducing the resistivity of the surrounding soil and significantly lowering the grounding resistance of the entire grounding network.

Due to the presence of metal passivation and rust inhibitor in the product, it can quickly passivate the surface of the metal grounding body, effectively prevent the corrosion of the metal grounding body, and extend the service life of the metal grounding body (theoretical effective period of more than 60 years); The water retaining agent in the resistance reducing agent can maintain the moist state of the soil near the metal grounding body for a long time, effectively preventing the grounding resistance from being affected by climate change during dry seasons. Therefore, the physical resistance reducing agent has good anti-corrosion and long-term stability.

Long term anti-corrosion physical resistance reducer has no pollution during the production process and poses no harm to the health of workers. The drag reducer itself does not contain harmful or toxic elements such as lead and arsenic, and is non polluting, non-toxic, safe and reliable to the surrounding environment and groundwater resources during use.

In addition, long-term anti-corrosion physical resistance reducing agents also have a voltage equalization effect, improve potential distribution, thereby reducing step voltage and contact voltage, ensuring personal safety.

Long term anti-corrosion physical resistance reducer adopts standardized production, with uniform material and simple construction requirements. It has good resistance reduction and anti-corrosion performance in various soils and climatic conditions, especially for ordinary carbon steel. The anti-corrosion long-term grounding resistance reducing agent has been tested by the Wuhan High Voltage Research Institute of State Power Corporation ([2006] Lei Zi No. 21), and all its performance indicators meet the requirements of the "Interim Technical Conditions for Grounding Resistance Reducing Agents", with a theoretical validity period of more than 50 years.

2、 Performance characteristics:

Long term anti-corrosion physical resistance reducing agent is the third-generation resistance reducing agent successfully developed by our company. This drag reducer contains stable conductive components, chemical electrolytes, metal passivation rust inhibitor (II), and water retention agent. The principle characteristics are as follows:

① Resistance reduction: As a good conductor, the resistance reducing agent can be used between the metal grounding body and the soil, which can tightly contact the metal grounding body and the soil, expand the cross-sectional area of the flow, and reduce the high contact resistance between the metal grounding body and the soil.

② Corrosion resistance: This product contains metal passivation anti-corrosion agent, which can quickly passivate the surface of the metal grounding body, effectively prevent the corrosion of the metal grounding body, and extend the service life of the metal grounding body.

③ Permeability: Due to the flow and infiltration of this product into the surrounding soil pores during construction, the electrical resistivity of the surrounding soil is reduced, forming a low resistance area with a gentle change in resistivity around the grounding body, significantly reducing the grounding resistance of the entire grounding network.

④ Stability: Due to its excellent impact characteristics, this product can withstand changes in power frequency current and impact current. And it also has good voltage equalization effect, improves potential distribution, thereby reducing step voltage and contact voltage, ensuring personal safety.

⑤ Safety: The drag reducer has undergone strict testing by the environmental protection department on the production process, technology, samples, and usage locations. The results confirm that the drag reducer does not cause pollution during the production process and poses no harm to the health of workers. The drag reducer itself does not contain harmful or toxic elements such as lead and arsenic, and is non polluting, non-toxic, safe and reliable to the surrounding environment and groundwater resources during use.

⑥ Long term effectiveness: This product contains a unique moisture adsorbent that can effectively prevent the grounding resistance from being affected by climate change during rainy and dry seasons.

Long term anti-corrosion physical resistance reduction has been tested by the Wuhan High Voltage Research Institute of State Power Corporation (2006 Lei Zi [21]), and all performance indicators meet the requirements of the "Interim Technical Conditions for Grounding Resistance Reduction Agents" (1991.5). Grounding resistance has the characteristic of being less affected by power frequency current and impulse current, especially in terms of anti-corrosion of metal grounding bodies, with good resistance reduction effect.

The resistance reducer produced by our factory has good anti rust effect on metal grounding bodies, especially on ordinary carbon steel. In grounding engineering, whether it is low resistivity clay or high resistivity rock areas, using ordinary carbon steel (flat steel, angle steel, steel pipe) and resistance reducing agents to achieve the required grounding resistance value not only shortens construction time but also greatly saves the total cost of grounding engineering.

3、 Technical indicators:

1. Reduced resistivity: 60% -90% (the higher the soil resistivity, the more significant the reduction in resistivity).

2. Stability and long-term effectiveness, the theoretical validity period of the resistance reducing agent is over 60 years.

3. Its water retention and absorption have been significantly improved compared to previous products.

4、 Usage calculation:

The economic dosage of drag reducing agent should depend on different soils, and the thickness of laying on the grounding body should be between 5-15cm. For the convenience of calculation, the recommended dosage is shown in the following table:

5、 Construction and General Requirements

1. Pre construction inspection items and requirements:

① The drag reducer should be a product of the same brand and model.

② The water is clean and free of pollution, and there are no impurities such as sediment in the water.

③ The size and shape of the grooves and holes meet the design requirements, with relatively flat walls and no debris inside the holes and grooves.

④ The vertical grounding electrode is placed in the center of the hole, and the horizontal grounding electrode is horizontally centered, with a distance of not less than and relatively uniform from the bottom of the ditch (if necessary, it can be fixed with a thin wire).

⑤ The grounding down conductor has been coated with anti rust paint according to the design requirements and has initially set.

2. Modulation of drag reducing agent

Add water in a weight ratio of 0.4~0.6:1.0 of water to drag reducer and stir thoroughly until a sticky paste is formed. The amount of water used for horizontal grounding should be just enough to wet all the dry powder and stir it into a paste. The amount of resistance reducing agent added to the vertical grounding hole can be adjusted to a higher value depending on the situation. Excessive water addition will prolong the construction time.

3. Watering, wrapping, and initial inspection

Gently pour the prepared paste like resistance reducing agent into the grounding ditch and hole (to prevent mud, debris, and impurities from mixing into the resistance reducing agent) until it completely covers the grounding electrode without omission. The initial coating thickness should not be less than, and the walls of the borehole should be full. If it is insufficient, it should be replenished.

4. Re inspection and backfilling compaction

After the initial setting of the drag reducing agent, a detailed inspection should be carried out to ensure that the surface of the drag reducing agent coating is uniform, sufficient, and free of impurities. The thickness of the coating body should not be less than the thinnest part, and if it is insufficient, the drag reducing agent should be replenished. After checking for accuracy, remove the fixed fine wire, gently backfill with fine soil without hard objects or branches, with a thickness of the above, and then add other soil and compact it. The compacted backfill soil surface should be slightly higher than the surrounding ground level.

5. Requirements for grounding down conductors

The grounding down conductor at the surface junction section needs to be coated with 2-3 coats of epoxy asphalt varnish, FVC paint or other durable paint throughout the entire section. The length of the underground section should be such that the part buried with the resistance reducing agent is not less than, and the length of the upper part on the surface is not less than.

6. Deep well grounding

Deep well grounding is sometimes necessary. The depth of a well is usually determined by finding a low resistivity formation or groundwater, usually up to tens of meters. During construction, specialized machinery is used to drill holes with a diameter of 80-150mm. Sometimes it is necessary to use local blasting to loosen the surrounding soil and fill it with drag reducing agents to enhance the drag reduction effect. The grounding electrode is made of steel pipes with drilled holes ranging from 10 to 15mm on all four walls. Inject the prepared resistance reducing agent into the pipe under pressure, and use the wall hole to surround the steel pipe from both inside and outside and fill the entire borehole with the resistance reducing agent.

6、 Attention:

1. This product adopts double-layer packaging, with an inner layer of PVC bag and an outer layer of woven bag.

2. The woven bag is marked with the product name, model, and factory name. During transportation, attention should be paid to preventing rain, moisture, and damage to the packaging caused by hard objects.

3. Resistance reducing agents should be stored in places that are not exposed to rain or water. When storing outdoors, measures should be taken to prevent rain and exposure to sunlight.

4. As long as it is unopened, undamaged, and not submerged in water, its shelf life is two years. When there is an abnormal situation of rainwater soaking on the construction site, it should be used within 2 days. The drag reducer soaked in water can be used as a backfill for fine soil.
